BYCfitness: Can you tell us what “My Petite Box” is?
Mathilde: My Petite Box is a monthly subscription box based in Calgary. Each month we create an exclusive box with one local maker to surprise our subscribers.
Our main goal is to support our local economy and promote the talents we have in our city and its surroundings.
My Petite Box is really affordable. The price range is between $27 and $30 per month and you will always get products with at least a $35 retail value.
We do offer different options for monthly subscriptions; gift plans and we also have special boxes available like one called Calgary in a Box.
BYCfitness: Where did the idea come from?
Mathilde: My Petite Box was born in 2017. It was inspired by existing subscriptions boxes but with a twist as it is focusing on local products only.
BYCfitness: What are some of the local artisans you’ve worked with?
Mathilde: We have worked with more than 40 different makers in the past 3 years and a half. We are really fortunate to be living in a vibrant city with so many creative people. It is difficult to pick only a few examples but in 2020, we have created boxes containing jewelry, cosmetics, teas, stationary products and a candle.

Mathilde: Yes, we have created a special box for Christmas. This box is different than our monthly box as it contains 5 local products from 5 different makers. With a retail value of $106 and a price tag of $85 only, this is the best deal ever!
