Japanese Salad
Ingredients:
- ½ cup toasted almonds
- ½ head shredded cabbage
- 1 pkg bean sprouts
- 2 cups fresh mushrooms
- 2 green onions, chopped
- ¼ cup sunflower seeds
- 3 oz package instant noodles (ramen, broken up)
- ½ pcg chow mein noodles
Dressing:
- Seasoning pkg from the ramen noodles
- ½ cup olive oil
- 2-4 tbsp soy sauce
- 3 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tsp sugar
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
Directions:
- Toast almonds and set aside.
- Put cabbage, bean sprouts, mushrooms, onions and sunflower seeds in bowl.
- Add toasted almonds.
- Combine instant noodles and chow mein noodles in a small bowl and set aside.
- Combine dressing ingredients and stir.
- Pour dressing over salad.
- Sprinkle dry noodles and chow mein noodles on top.
Variations:
- Try adding romaine lettuce, Chinese cabbage, celery, cucumbers, shredded carrot, etc.
