I am a certified personal trainer and Essentrics® instructor in Calgary, Alberta. I have been coaching and teaching for the past 20 years. I’ve had a lifetime of experiences that have taught me that becoming your best isn’t always easy but it’s always possible.
I was once an underweight fashion model. So skinny in fact, that I was losing out on work. I had been raised on an organic farm so I knew about eating healthy but didn’t quite know how to cook. I knew exercise was good for me, but was never an athletic kid. I wanted to add to my slight frame so I headed for the gym. What I didn’t realize was how that action would change the direction of my life so completely.
I started working with a trainer who helped me achieve my fitness goals and provided guidance for proper nutrition. I became so hooked, that I started competing as a bodybuilder, winning several events. At the same time, I started working towards my own certification so I could help others feel as empowered, confident and as happy as I was feeling. Getting stronger made me feel better about my body, of course, but it also brought me to my life’s passion with a career in fitness, not to mention the confidence to be part of a solid marriage.

Move well, live well. It is more common these days to spend the day sitting and sedentary than moving around. We’re ignoring how our bodies were built; we were designed to move. It has become my life’s passion to get people moving again. Moving any way possible, any way that makes you happy. I want you aging better, feeling confident, empowered and healthy.
My training experience combined with my 22 years as a Certified Natural Health Counsellor and Reflexologist have given me the tools to help you achieve a fit, healthy body. I specialize in teaching everyone, no matter what point they’re starting from, to safely get strong and mobile.
You will learn to move without pain and restriction, to be efficient in your chosen sport, to feel graceful in your day-to-day. The initial focus on posture, core stability, strengthening and lengthening of muscles will give you the foundation to keep pushing towards your goals, whatever they may be.
Whether you’ve never stepped foot in a gym, you’ve suffered an injury or maybe you’re a seasoned gym-goer, let’s celebrate what your body can do. Let’s get you moving and feeling your best. Because you’re stronger than you think.
